The Volunteer Greeter Program was established in the spring of 2004. Isabel Johnson stepped forward to take the lead and was instrumental in establishing a greeter program at the Dryden Regional Health Centre. This program has evolved from greeting patients and their families to an integral service at our facility. Volunteers assist in many areas of the hospital. Programs include the Greeter Desk, Auxiliary, Tuck/Gift Shop, Canadian Cancer Society, Surgical Day Care, Specialty Clinic, Still Me Program, Palliative Care and Interpreter Program. We also offer the opportunity for High School Students to fulfill their community service requirements.
The volunteer role has provided a tremendous impact on the delivery of quality service to patients and their families. If you are interested in joining our team, please contact Brenda Schmucker, Coordinator of Volunteer Services at 223-7407 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
