The Dryden Regional Health Centre is a hospital for certain but did you know we are a very busy teaching facility for future health care practitioners? We currently have 4 Medical Residents, 3 third year Medical Students from NOSM, one Dietetic Intern, 2 Lab Technician Students, one Diagnostic Imaging Technician,  one Masters Degree Student in Mental Health and Addictions and numerous nursing students all living and learning health care in Dryden.

Hosting learners brings many benefits to our facility and our care team; sometimes the student becomes the teacher as they share some of their experiences and learning with us. These future practitioners are potential recruits as well; many former students have gone on to work here in our hospital (Dr. Adam Moir, Dr. Bruce Cook, Dr. Brian Lorbetskie, Nurses like Morgan Church, Tamara Eddison, Hailey Whitney and Heather Zehr).

If you happen to come across a medical learner during your visit to our hospital be sure to say welcome; they could be your future physician, nurse or Physiotherapist.
