Due to unforeseen, challenging circumstances, Mr. Darryl Galusha has, with regret, declined the position as Chief Executive Officer of the Dryden Regional Health Centre.
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that, effective immediately, Doreen Armstrong-Ross has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer.
As part of the Senior Leadership Team, Doreen has worked with the Dryden Regional Health Centre in her capacity as Chief Nursing Executive/Vice President Patient Care Services and has overseen all hospital and clinical services including Inpatient Care, Emergency Medicine, Operating Room, Telehealth, Diagnostic Imaging, Laboratory, and Surgical services. In addition, Doreen has been responsible for services provided at the Dryden Area Family Health Team and Mental Health and Addictions Services. She has previously worked in increasing roles of responsibility in Quality Improvement and Nursing leadership. Doreen brings strength and leadership in collaboration and partnership with the local, district, and regional partners, as well health system planning and integration initiatives.
“I am thrilled and I am ready,” commented Ms. Armstrong-Ross. “The current strategic direction for Care that Works and the organization’s core values of Compassion, Humility, Accountability, Integrity, and Respect have been fundamental to our success to date and will positions us to continue to provide high quality for our loved ones, friends and neighbours.”
“It is with confidence and full support that the Board welcomes Doreen to her new role,” says Board Chair, Judi Green. “Recognizing the consistent change within the healthcare sector, the Board knows that Doreen will successfully lead our organization and effectively represent the health care needs of our community across the district, as well as regionally and provincially.”
