Coding Technician

 

 

The Dryden Regional Health Centre is seeking to fill the following position with a highly motivated, team-orientated professional:

Permanent Full-Time Coding Technician

Reporting to the Manager-Clinical Information, the Coding Technician is an integral member of the Health Records team, providing Health Record maintenance, release of information, processing statistical data, and other duties as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Coding / abstracting for government and statistical purposes
  • Back up for Clinical Information Analyst
  • Transcription of Medical Dictation
  • Chart Assembly / Quality Assurance / Preparation. Ensure the Health Record is in correct order and complete
  • Information collection and dissemination

Requirements:

  • CHIMA Qualified
  • ICD 10/CCI Certificate
  • 1-3 yrs experience in coding preferred
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Dryden Regional Health Centre's Code of Conduct and Standards of Behaviour
  • Proven attendance record
  • Able to perform the essential duties of the job
  • Demonstrates DRHC Core Values; Accountability, Integrity, Humility, Compassion and Respect
  • Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination status to be presented prior to hire
