Full Time Emergency Department Physician

The Dryden Regional Health Centre is home to a bright and modern health care facility; our ER department has been fully sufficient in staffing our hospital with local doctors for many years. A recent practice change within the physician group has created a new vacancy.

Incentives: $155,000

Working in Dryden includes moving allowance, signing bonus and provincial incentives of $115,8000 (for a four year commitment-pro-rated). We also provide $12,500 for moving expenses and a $25,000 signing bonus for a two year return of service commitment from the Dryden Regional Health Services Foundation.

New physicians to the community are well supported with our year long mentorship and support program to ensure a smooth transition to living and working in Dryden. We have your back.

About the job...

Enjoy the freedom to choose your working hours each month. The group schedules around the Full Time ER Physician schedule; choose between 12 and 24 hour shifts in a modern ER with highly skilled/experienced nursing staff.

Average volume is typically 55-60 visits per 24 hour period with approximately 50% CTAS 4's and 5's

  • Most volume presents b/w 8am and midnight
  • 24/7 on site D.I. and Laboratory supports, CT Scan, EMR, Telestroke Program
  • 2nd on call Physician, General Surgeon and Anesthetist supports
  • Tertiary referral sites are Thunder Bay and Winnipeg via ORNG air ambulance
  • $242.00/hour plus 80% of all out of province/country/private insurance billings (base hourly rate is predicated by annual average volumes for shadow billing)
