The Dryden Regional Health Centre is seeking to fill the following permanent full-time position:
Capital Planning, Projects & Asset Management Coordinator
The Capital Planning, Projects & Asset Management Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the hospital's strategic capital planning, asset management, and capital project initiatives. This position coordinates the planning and execution of capital projects, manages the lifecycle of organizational assets and related contracts, and supports compliance with healthcare regulations, public sector procurement requirements, and infrastructure funding programs.
This role provides analysis, guidance, and recommendations to management, senior leadership, and the Board of Directors to support informed decision-making regarding capital investments and asset management strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive capital planning strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Conduct financial analysis and feasibility studies to evaluate potential capital projects.
- Prepare business cases, financial reports, and recommendations for capital expenditures.
- Capital project coordination and planning, ensuring timely completion within budgetary constraints.
- Monitor project performance, benchmarks, and key indicators.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of tangible capital assets, including planning, acquisitions, maintenance and disposition.
- Maintain asset management systems and documentation.
- Coordinate asset-related contracts including equipment service agreements.
- Monitor regulatory requirement related to capital planning, procurement, and infrastructure funding, advising leadership on potential impacts and required action to maintain compliance.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures governing capital project planning, tendering, vendor selection, contract management, and purchasing activities to ensure alignment with applicable legislation, public sector procurement standards, and organization policies
- Conduct periodic reviews and audits of capital project and procurement activities to ensure adherence to procurement thresholds, competitive bidding requirements, documentation standards, and funding conditions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, department heads, and clinical staff to assess capital needs and priorities.
- Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the hospital in interactions with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and community organizations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following key competencies, record of experience and academic preparation:
- A degree in business administration, finance, healthcare management, project management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in capital planning, financial analysis, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- Experience in and current knowledge of the Hospital industry.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating capital projects, asset lifecycle planning, procurement processes, and contract management.
- Strong analytical and financial analysis skills to support decision-making and business case development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Proficiency with standard computer and financial systems.

This is a Non-Union position. Annual salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience within the range of $80,262 - $87,009.
