The Dryden Regional Health Centre is seeking to fill the following position:
Permanent Full- Time
Registered Nurse- Relief Position (2)
The Registered Nurse is a member of the multidisciplinary health care team and is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients across acute care areas in accordance with the standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario, organizational policies, and professional nursing practice. This role supports safe, effective, and patient-centred care and works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care using the nursing process
• Administer medications and treatments, including intravenous therapies, in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, anticipate changes in status, and respond appropriately to ensure patient safety
• Maintain accurate, timely, and professional patient documentation and records
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary health care providers to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Provide patient and family education to support understanding of treatment plans and continuity of care
• Delegate and support care activities while contributing to a collaborative, team-based care environment
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and hospital accreditation processes
• Support mentorship, education, and supervision of nursing students and staff as appropriate
• Demonstrate behaviours consistent with Dryden Regional Health Centre's Code of Conduct, Standards of Behaviour, and Core Values
