The Dryden Regional Health Centre is seeking to fill the following position with a highly motivated, team-orientated professional:

Fundraising Coordinator

The Fundraising Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the mission of the Dryden Regional Health Services Foundation through the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising initiatives. This position is responsible for engaging community stakeholders, managing donor relations, administering key fundraising programs, and providing administrative support to the Foundation's Board of Directors. The role is essential in advancing initiatives related to the recruitment and retention of healthcare professionals and the acquisition of capital equipment and infrastructure for DRHC.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and coordinate the Foundation's community fundraising strategy:
    • Promote initiatives to service clubs, local businesses, and individual donors
    • Manage donor recognition programs and communications
    • Support stewardship and donor relations
    • Act as a representative of the Foundation in the community and in interactions with media, supporting public awareness and engagement initiatives
  • Lead 50/50 draw program administration:
    • Ensure compliance with AGCO/OLG licensing and rules
    • Coordinate ticket sales, promotional campaigns, and draw execution
    • Manage winner communication and payment processing
  • Provide administrative support to the Foundation Board of Directors:
    • Organizing meetings
    • Distributing documents and information
    • Taking minutes of Board Meetings
    • Coordinate recruitment and orientation of Board members
    • Liaise with third-party vendors (e.g., donor database, website)
  • Uphold the DRHC Code of Conduct and contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and culturally safe environment

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following key competencies, record of experience and academic preparation:

  • Post-secondary education in fundraising, marketing, business, or a related field
  • Experience in fundraising, public relations, or community engagement
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment is considered an asset
  • Experience supporting public relations activities, media engagement, or community communications considered an asset
  • Demonstrated success working with donors and community stakeholders
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and marketing skills
  • Strong administrative, time management, and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital platforms (e.g., websites, donor databases)
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Dryden Regional Health Centre's Code of Conduct and Standards of Behaviour
  • Demonstrates DRHC Core Values; Accountability, Integrity, Humility, Compassion and Respect
  • Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination status to be presented prior to hire

This is a Non-Union position. Starting salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience, $36.09/hr.--$39.14/hr. plus up to 21% in lieu of vacation and benefits. Applicants are requested to forward a completed resume and cover letter to: hr@drhc.on.ca
