Permanent Part-Time RPN Pharmacy or Registered Pharmacy Technician

The Dryden Regional Health Centre is seeking to fill the following position with a highly motivated, team-orientated professional:


Permanent Part-Time Registered Practical Nurse - Pharmacy

or Registered Pharmacy Technician

 

Responsibilities:

  • Mixing Sterile hazardous and non-hazardous medication
  • Provision of quality pharmacy services in the most fiscally responsible manner, in accordance with required standards of practice and legislation
  • Establish an environment of patient safety within the Pharmacy
  • Purchasing medication
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Current Certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario or Registered Pharmacy Technician
  • Current hospital Pharmacy experience an asset
  • Hazardous and Non Hazardous sterile preparation experience and training required
  • Experience in Pharmacy ordering and inventory maintenance an asset
  • Attention to detail
  • Current CPR
  • Demonstration of pharmacy practice, skill and judgment
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills including superior verbal communication abilities
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, leadership and mentoring skills
  • Able to perform the essential duties of the job
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including days, evenings and weekends
  • Demonstrates DRHC Core Values; Accountability, Integrity, Humility, Compassion and Respect
  • Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Dryden Regional Health Centre's Code of Conduct and Standards of Behaviour
  • Proof of Covid 19 Vaccination
