The Dryden Regional Health Centre is seeking to fill the following position with a highly motivated, team-orientated professional:

Permanent Part-Time

Clinical Information Clerk- Emergency Room (Nights)

Reporting to the Manager- Clinical Information, the Clinical Information Clerk- Emergency Room ensures that all patients are properly registered to receive care, working closely with our multidisciplinary team within the Emergency Department during overnight hours (23:30-0:700).

Responsibilities:

  • Receive clients and visitors
  • Ensure complete patient profile and processing
  • Registration, form and chart creation
  • Perform switchboard duties
  • Inspection of Health Numbers for validity for all Ontario Clients
  • Statistical Reporting
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Medical Terminology course preferred (commitment to obtain if not held)
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills (written & oral)
  • Understanding and commitment to confidentiality
  • Experience working in a fast pace, high demand environment
  • Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Dryden Regional Health Centre's Code of Conduct and Standards of Behaviour
  • Demonstrates DRHC Core Values; Accountability, Integrity, Humility, Compassion and Respect
  • Immunization status to be presented prior to hire, including proof of Covid-19 vaccination
