Casual Kinesiologist

The Dryden Regional Health Centre is seeking to fill the following position with a highly motivated, team-orientated professional:

Casual Kinesiologist

As a member of the Rehabilitation team, the Kinesiologist will provide assessment and treatment within their scope, to inpatients and outpatients referred by physicians. They will act as a resource for education of hospital staff and community agencies.

Main Job Duties:

• Treating clients in an outpatient setting for musculoskeletal injuries
• Providing personalized treatment plans
• Collaborating with an interprofessional team
• Utilizing electronic charting as per College of Kinesiology standards
• Running group exercise classes for clients with Arthritis and Cardiac conditions
• Working with Rehabilitation team to fully utilize the Kinesiology scope of practice and competency

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Kinesiology
• License to practice in Ontario with the Ontario College of Kinesiology
• Demonstrated ability to apply theoretical knowledge in problem solving and troubleshooting
• Ability to communicate clearly, teach, problem solve and organize
• Ability to lead and work well in cooperation with co-workers and other departments
• Flexibility and willingness to work as part of team
• Effective organizational and communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Proven attendance record
• Able to work and manage a case load independently and with other multi-disciplinary team members
• Demonstrates behaviours consistent with the Dryden Regional Health Centre's Code of Conduct
• Demonstrates behaviours consistent with the DRHC Core Values; Accountability, Integrity, Humility, Compassion and Respect
• Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination status to be presented prior to hire
