The Dryden Regional Health Centre is seeking to fill the following position with a highly motivated, team-orientated professional:

Casual Ward Clerk

Job Duties:

  • Maintains patient charts and transcribes Doctor's orders
  • Communicates with patients, families and visitors; provides directions and information
  • Facilitates the admission process for patients
  • Answer phones and communicates with other providers in terms of transferring patients, booking appointments, arrangement of transportation, etc.

Pre-Requisites/Qualifications:

  • Certified course in Medical Terminology
  • Previous experience in Pharmacology preferred
  • Demonstrable Computer and Typing Skills
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Conscientious with attention to detail
  • Ability to organize a daily workload by priorities
  • Ability to adhere to the DRHC's policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Dryden Regional Health Centre's Code of Conduct and Standards of Behavior
  • Demonstrates DRHC Core Values; Accountability, Integrity, Humility, Compassion and Respect
  • Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination status to be presented prior to hire
