Strategic Plan

The Dryden Regional Health Centre 2010-2013 Strategic Plan reaffirms the hospital’s standing commitment to excellence in patient care, collaboration and integration.

Developed in alignment with the priorities of the North West Local Health Integration Network (NW LHIN) and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC), and with the valued guidance and input from patient and family members, staff, volunteers and community stakeholders, the 2010-13 Dryden Regional Health Centre Strategic Plan provides a framework that will guide our decisions moving forward and improve the overall patient experience.

Initiatives specific to the planning, management and coordination of health care services in Dryden and the surrounding area are the strength of the 2010-2013 Strategic Plan. Goals and objectives support the recruitment and retention of qualified health care professionals, promote and support a healthy workplace, improve patient safety and satisfaction, encourage diversity, regional collaboration and integration, advance effective mental health and addiction services and improve access to primary care.

All priorities are aimed at healthier communities, reduced wait times and improved access to physicians and other health care providers.

We will know we are successful when:

  • We are able to recruit and retain physicians and allied health care providers;
  • We enhance the quality of service by focussing on patient safety and satisfaction;
  • We enhance access to primary care through effective utilization of all health care providers and
  • We work with our community partners & stakeholder to create more comprehensive and integrated mental health & addiction services.
