Dryden Regional Mental Health and Addiction Services is a community based agency funded by Ontario Health and the Government of Ontario and sponsored by the Dryden Regional Health Centre. There are offices in Dryden and Ignace.

Dryden Regional Mental Health and Addiction Services provides a range of client-focused services assisting individuals, aged 16 years of age and older.

  • Mobile Crisis Services from 7 am to 2 am
  • Mental health and addiction assessments & treatment
  • Individual counselling
  • Anger management counselling and education
  • Educational and supportive group counselling
  • Facilitation of psychiatric consultations
  • Support and counselling for persons living with cancer
  • Case Management services for persons living with a serious mental illness
  • Housing support for individuals living with a serious mental illness
  • Referral services to other agencies for ongoing treatment and assistance
  • Child and Youth mental health outreach and support ( age 1 up to age 25)

Alcohol, substance abuse and problem gambling services are provided to clients aged 12 years and older.

Case Management Services provide support and assistance to individuals 16 years of age and older who are living with a serious mental illness. Case Managers provide counselling and a variety of services including housing support, activities of daily living, budgeting and medication management. They also provide advocacy and linkages with other community supports and resources.

Bimaadiziwin Ashangewinini ("Seeking the Good Life Social Worker")

The Bimaadiziwin Ashangewinini positopn works to provide advocacy supports, case management and coordinate referrals to programs and services, community resources and traditional healers to ensure First Nations clients receive compassionate, culturally-safe care to help them towards their healthcare goals.

The Bimaadiziwin Ashangewinini works with the Emergency Department, as well as with Inpatient and Outpatient clients to navigate the healthcare system and community resources, in addition to carrying a caseload focussed on First Nations clients through the Dryden Regional Mental Health and Addictions Services department.

You can make your own request for service by calling to arrange an appointment. Referrals will also be accepted from others including family or friends, agencies, schools, medical professionals or clergy.

Child and Youth Mental Health Outreach and Support

We have a dedicated Child and Youth Mental Health Outreach Worker is available to provide supports and services to those aged 25 and under.
