The Dryden Regional Health Centre is seeking to fill the following position:

Physiotherapist

The Physiotherapist is a member of the Rehabilitation Services team and is responsible for providing physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and education services to inpatients, outpatients, and home care clients in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies. This role supports safe, effective, and patient-centred care across the continuum and works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessment, treatment planning, implementation, and ongoing evaluation for patients with a broad range of conditions across inpatient, outpatient, and home care settings
  • Apply evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning to support mobility, functional independence, pain management, and physical performance
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers to support understanding, self-management, and continuity of care
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, occupational therapy, rehabilitation assistants, discharge planners, and community partners to support coordinated care and discharge planning
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and professional documentation in accordance with the standards of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and organizational policies
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, insurers, WSIB, home care providers, and other stakeholders as required
  • Support supervision and education of students and learners during clinical placements
  • Uphold patient safety practices, professional ethics, and continuous quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following key competencies, record of experience and academic preparation:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Physiotherapy
  • Current registration and licensure in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Valid Ontario driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health care team
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient computer and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Dryden Regional Health Centre's Code of Conduct and Standards of Behaviour
  • Demonstrates DRHC Core Values; Accountability, Integrity, Humility, Compassion and Respect
  • Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination status to be presented prior to hire

This is a Non-Union position. Salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience; $97,442- $111,150, plus up to 21% in lieu of vacation and benefits. This position is temporary full-time through December 2027. A permanent full-time position may arise following the end of the contract.
